Mad Hatter

Only Mark's Aunt Cooky could make her cancer into a game for the whole family. She has been undergoing chemo and has lost her hair as a result. She challenged the family to a contest -- who can send the best hat. Here are my entries. Of course, my two boys are the judges so I have an in: "Do you want coal in your stockings or some really cool, super violent game where you can blow up aliens? Vote for Mommy!"

Merry Christmas! via Virtual Card

We're wishing y'all a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! (Mark wanted to know why HE had to be the snowman -- because his head just looked undignified on the chicken body!)

All the best in 2007. xXOoXo Mark, Cheryl, Conn, Reese & Trumpet

Christmas Stuff

Well, I fauxto-shopped these pix so you couldn't see the toothpaste spatter on the mirror or dust doggies on the floor, blinds and other surfaces. (Larger than dust bunnies, the doggie variety is a 50/50 mixture of long haired dachshund fur and dust - hence the name.) The above Advent Box was a new purchase this year. So adorable, each drawer has an ornament with the star for the little so-sad-it's-cute Charlie Brown Christmas tree on the 25th.

The little terracotta angel (left) was a gift from my mom-in-law, the angel holds something different in her hands depending on the season: right now she's holding some vintage glass ornaments and sporting a beaded garland in her fruit halo.

The little house came in a live centerpiece from my folks a couple of Christmases ago. Reese and I put the "snow" and people and trees all around it. His favorite part is putting the mailman at the front door. Hmmm, look closely, I think he has some packages from Amazon under his arm.

This is our fireplace that you hardly EVER need in Georgia. On that rare occasion that you DID need some heat, it doesn't actually radiate any perceivable amount, it's mostly decorative and provides a place for Trumpet to dig inside the house.

This last shot below is my homage to Sally Jean Alexander, all done in her signature bluish-greenish color palette and silver, it sits on my studio table.

I have jumped on the blog-wagon

Well, everyone's doing it......Jane Powell at Random Arts and Debbi Crane has her Paper Doll blog and Lesley Riley has one too. Yeah, I'm name dropping, but I want to be one of the cool kids. Check out my website at www.zoegraphdesigns.com

More later, when I figure out what I'm supposed to do with this thing. Sheesh.
