Wrapping and a Rug

Instead of tagging the boys' gifts, this year I color coded.  I'm sure a lot of twin moms do this when their twins are infants, it helps keep pacifiers in the right mouths and is a courtesy to those who can't tell the babies apart.  Reese was red-baby, Connor was blue-baby.  So this year it looked like Christmas in July under the tree.

While I fell miserably short of my 52 canvases for the year, I took on this last painting project today.  I was tired of looking at the bare concrete, so I painted a rug onto my studio floor.  It's just acrylic and graphite.  It was a fun project, but man my knees are killing me.  I now have the urge to sing the theme from Aladdin every time I walk in there.

I love your rug! Very good job! Like the color coding idea too. If I ever have twins, I'll remember that...

Cheryl, just logged on and saw the rug, gifts etc. What a bad mom I am for not checking it out sooner! I love the rug. I had to look real close to make sure it wasn't real. Good Job. I'll hang a picture of it on the fridge. Love ya, Mom

The rug is great! I am visiting new blogs via DJ Pettit's blog list. I'm glad I stumbled on yours. As for the color coding, I did something like that the past few years with my 3 boys. I get a different wrapping paper for each and don't tag anything. One was the Fairly Odd parents, one was superman and the other Shrek. lol

OMG OMG OMG, I am just jumping up and down in excitement as I very kindly ordered your book from Amazon, who had very kindly emailed me to say I may be interested in it, and my dad very kindly wrapped it up and gave it to me for Christmas (still owes me for it though!!) I just love it from cover to cover and think it may end up a bit dog-eared (but well loved)... may lend it to a friend of mine (our relationship reminds me so much of you two, it's uncanny..) or I may not cos I doubt I will get it back!

Enough to say I just LOVE it and I am so glad I have found it.

PS I will post exactly the same on the other persons blog, cos if you are anything like Heidi and I you will bicker if one gets more comments than the other!

Brill book, hope there is more to come

Nicks x

I love the rug! I've always wanted to do something like that, but I don't think husband would appreciate it.
