Beezlemania

Debbi suggested covering the dowel legs with clay. Good advice.  Now they're much more like my sketches and paintings with the lumpy, misshapen legs.

This is the finished Beezle Pete on his pedestal. 

Drilling the dowel holes into the blocks is so gratifying.

I love seeing all the wood shavings come out.  

Giselle now has a heart on her frock and cotton candy colored tights. 

Someone wants to adopt her.

Don't know if I can part with her yet.

Giselle and Beezle Pete

I'm addicted to Sculpey.  The first shot is Giselle, my first Sculpey Beezle attempt.  I learned a lot putting her together and made some orthodontic and engineering improvements on the second one, Beezle Pete.  In the works: a Spicey Cyborg: half Sculpey Robot, half metal assemblage.

Budget Beezle

I have been playing with the idea of making a 3D Beezle for a while.  I thought I might make a plushy at first, but then a couple of things changed my mind:

1. I am too lazy heave my dang Viking out of the closet and onto the table

2. Judy Wise has been cranking out a whole fabulous Sculpey sorority 

3. Said Sculpey is on sale at Michael's for $1

Number three did it.  I got a Beezle in the oven. Gestation is about 15 minutes per 1/4 inch at 275 degrees.
