Shameless Self Promotion

The May/June issue of Cloth Paper Scissors is almost here, and yours truly has some work featured in it. Remember this?

At the time I didn't show you what I was working on, but I will now. Here is one of the four pieces featured, ta da!

This was the piece that (partially) inspired this piece. It features Mark's Aunt Cooky at three. Cooky finished her radiation treatment today. She still has to wear these once in a while, but is "getting fuzzy like a baby chick."

Ok, that was so much fun I'll show the other parent of the MIU piece. It looks like it's the same size but it's actually twice the width of the one above.

The piece we did at MIU was a hybrid of the 6" x 6" assemblage's size and layout and the paint technique from the 6" x 12" piece.

You'll just have to get the magazine for details on these pieces and to see the final incarnation of the bigger piece. It got some subtle finishing touches. Ciao for now.

We already told all of our craft loving neighbors to look for the May issue. They keep asking what our talents are and we either take the fifth - or tell them we have talented kids.

promote, promote, promote! I am so excited to get the new issue of cps and start selling it.Love the top piece too but the rusty one is my fave. Bring them with to Saluda when you come to Michaels class in June if you have them back. We can use them as a sample for your upcoming classes at random arts.

Jane - I already sent you "the rusty one" for your show next week, silly! Just hang on to it and I'll collect it when Mother's Day/MdM weekend. Cool.

Oh, and I got my advance contributor issues of CPS 12 today. All kidding and shameless-self-promo aside, it's the best issue they have ever put out. I want to try eveything technique and project in there. (Except for my projects, which, obviously, I've tried already.)

Hi Cheryl,

Just want to let you know I was inspired by this article a year ago and today I gave you a mention and a link on my blog. How exciting it must have been to see yourself in print that day!
